November 27 and November 29 and Zoo Field Trip

 We continued our Thanksgiving fun this week with musical turkey feet. The preschoolers pretended to be big turkeys, small turkeys, grumpy turkeys, happy turkeys, silly turkeys, old turkeys and baby turkeys.

 We made a gratitude tree and added leaves describing our blessings (family, healthy bodies, food, friends).

 

I read stories and then the preschoolers wanted to look at some books themselves, so I took photos!

 We played a game where we took turns being Santa and delivering presents to the "sleeping" children. Jacob, Tristan and Caitlin particularly enjoyed wearing the Santa hats (with only two hats this didn't work out so well!).

 

On Friday, November 30 we had a field trip to the zoo.  Caitlin, Jacob and their friend Kose met up to explore the zoo together. We started out in the Keiki Zoo, where we enjoyed having it mostly to ourselves.We strolled with the goats and crawled through the fish tunnel.

 We next visited Africa and were lucky to see the lions acting up. As we were on our way out of the zoo we were surprised to see a zookeeper taking a sheep for a walk. We petted the sheep and took a photo opp with the big giraffe.
